The Entertainer App – Cape Town 2015

entertainerlogoOne of the first things my husband and I did for 2015 was buy The Entertainer App for Cape Town 2015. It’s jam-packed with exciting vouchers I can’t wait to use! (Psst, it’s still going for R345).

This app is available for your phone and once you subscribe, there’s a very long list of vouchers (or 2 for 1 specials) to be redeemed at a range of entertainment merchants. These include restaurants, spas, golf resorts, game drives, sport activities and other entertainment. Wondering how it works? Each merchant listed on the app has the details of their special, so you know exactly what you’re getting and can easily fit it in with your plans for the day.

The first deal we used was at La Rocca at Canal Walk. We ordered a mains dish and after we produced the voucher code via the The Entertainer app, we got another mains dish free. We really could get used to eating full meals and only paying for half. 🙂

I’m constantly looking to try out new things in the Mother City. And since some activities are quite pricey, this app presents the perfect opportunity to give new things a try while on a budget. Next on my list to try is one of those spa treatments though…

How Do I Get It

  • Download The Entertainer app on your phone.
  • Create an account (username and password).
  •  Purchase either a month’s pass or a whole year’s pass via credit card. (Year’s pass recommended).
  • Start redeeming and saving!

If you’re looking for great deals in your city all year round, you’re going to love this app – it boasts up to R800k in savings.

The South African Entertainer is available for Johannesburg & Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban only.

Have you got it yet? What have you tried out?

Love this app! The month’s pass is definitely worth it if you’re visiting Cape Town on a holiday. With the amount of activities available, it will pay itself off in no time.

A real hidden gem is the Eastern Bazaar on Plein Street. It’s basically a gigantic food bar down the one side of the narrow room. Delicious food at ridiculously low prices. You should try it.

Ooh gosh I like that place too! When I worked in the CBD, I’d go there for lunch. In fact I’ve just been there on Saturday evening for their potato parathas… Love it! It’s so crazy busy every time I go… Seems like this gem is becoming pretty popular.
