The Narrative

I’ve learnt that you can cry without tears,
Weep in absolute silence,
And die a thousand times while your heart still beats.

I’ve learnt that happiness is always in front of you,
Contentment is the greatest achievement,
And the fact that nothing lasts forever makes the experience worthwhile. 

I’ve learnt so much in just a few fleeting moments,
Carefully strung together into a narrative,
And now the first part of my story is complete.
