When I actually do log on onto Facebook, I end up spending large amounts of time scrolling and clicking through stuff I find remotely interesting and newsworthy only. I don’t like being forced to view something and, naturally, much like YouTube video ads, I absolutely disliked the auto-play video setting on Facebook. Preference aside, they should have considered those with slower internet connections and limited bandwidth before making this an automatic setting.
Thank goodness there’s an option to turn off the auto-play. It’s quick and easy. If you’re logged on from your PC:
- Go to Settings.
- Click on Videos (towards the bottom of the list on the left).
- Go to Auto-play Videos and select Off.
You may continue your smooth journey through your timeline now. 🙂
