saajida akabor on table mountain, cape town 2016

The name’s Saajida.

Graduate; writer; animal-lover; slow reader; professional sleeper; curious mind; lover of good books; and a Durbanite who now calls Cape Town her home.

What piques her curiosity? Instagram and Twitter have the answer!

And that’s the thing about people who mean everything they say. They think everyone else does too.

  11. Thanks for following my blog. I am returning the favor. I am also a book/literature buff and while I am not a professional sleeper, I aspire to be one. 🙂

    • Haha, it’s easy. I’m certain you’ll get it right in no time.
What kind of literature do you enjoy?

      • I find that I am a “dual” reader. When I am feeling intellectual (or something of that nature) I like to read classics, Wuthering Heights, Jane Austen, Henry James, Whitman, Thoreau, etc. Great old books with great themes. But the dual part comes in because sometimes I just want to curl up with a book and read for the love of reading and it does not have to be high literature. Then I tend to read mysteries, Martin Cruz Smith, Arnaldur Indridason, Donna Leon, Jose-Perez Reverte, etc. So my reading tends to be heavy sometimes and more “fun” reading at other times.

  12. Thanks for stopping over at my blog Saajida xx you’ve found a kindred heart in your love of good books. Especially Khaled Hooseini. I read and reread A Thousand splendid Suns at least twice every year. Xx

    • It was a pleasure 🙂
Aah! That’s one book I could never get over. I want to reread it so much… I just know my heart will get lost in it as soon as I start again.
