Boulders Beach on a Sultry Day

posted in: Photography, Travel | 21

It’s warming up pretty quick in Cape Town and the weather is getting too good to spend indoors. Simon’s Town was abuzz with tourists and locals both admiring the beach and the penguins… The penguins who couldn’t be less bothered by our presence.

If you’re visiting Cape Town, I’d recommend making a stop at Boulders Beach in Simon’s Town. Also, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg are close-by and very welcoming. Kalk Bay has an amazing ice cream shop whose cones save you from fainting in the heat (well, it saved me). The shops along the main road sell everything you can imagine – from handmade jewelry to clothing and furniture.  Muizenberg Beach is ideal for a family day out.

Enough chatter for now, take a look at these images I’ve selected to post up. It was quite a difficult decision picking and choosing from the lot I had taken out with my iPhone 5 (camera was amazing! – as you’ll see). Also note – I have not used any photo enhancer app to alter the look of the images.

I’ve finally perfected panoramic pics. Unfortunately I had to resize the image (and the others above). But here goes:
